Johnson & Johnson asserts that bankruptcy is the only means to address both present and future lawsuits involving talc conclusively. In other words, it thinks it can get a lower rate should there be a bankruptcy element that creates pressure to negotiate a settlement. Is talc powder safe for face. Driving past hundreds of years of American past, the company asserts that bankruptcy benefits all parties as it distributes settlements more equally and effectively than trial courts, which are where litigants get significant payouts, while others are left with nothing.

April 10 2023 update: Bloomberg offers an informative article about a new law within New Jersey that is shedding new light on litigation funding in the suit for class actions. Litigation funders Virage Capital Management and TRGP Capital invested in hundreds of claims that were brought against Johnson & Johnson (J&J) on behalf of talc products.
