J&J company subsidiary LTL Management filed a bankruptcy plan in New Jersey late on Monday that details how the company intends to pay different types of cancer victims as part of a bankruptcy settlement. Hyperbole was not spared the lawyers representing victims call it the most significant “fraudulent deal of assets in United States history.”
Notwithstanding the legal mumbo jumbo, J&J does not really think this bankruptcy will survive. But it is a way of trying to push this $8.9 billion settlement to keep pressure on plaintiffs.
