Hyperbole is not exempt the lawyers representing victims call this the biggest “fraudulent transfer of assets in United States history.”
In spite of the legal jargon, J&J does not really believe this bankruptcy will be able to last. However, it’s a means of trying to push this $8.9 billion settlement to keep pressure on plaintiffs.
