April 12 2023 Update: Many are asking how J&J is able to file for bankruptcy once more. The answer is complicated and complex. But let’s try to explain the issue in a simple way.
Johnson & Johnson asserts that bankruptcy is the only means to resolve both current and future talc-related lawsuits definitively. Hyperbole did not go unnoticed by the victims’ lawyers, who call it the largest “fraudulent deal in United States history.”

The involvement of funders is public knowledge because of a New Jersey court rule requiring the release of certain details about outside funding backers.
